Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Account: email address, password (stored hashed), date of birth, first name.
- Profile: city, state, ZIP code, a short bio, who you are and who you want to meet, match range, photos you upload.
- Gameplay: your answers in games, results, reveals you agreed to, chats (text only), hearts balance and streaks.
- Purchases: the product bought, price, store transaction id. We never see your card number.
- Technical: device type, app version, approximate location derived from your ZIP code (not GPS), times of activity.
What we use it for
To run the game: pairing you with players who match your preferences and range, judging answers, showing reveals only when both players agree, keeping your hearts balance. To keep people safe: reviewing reports, enforcing blocks and bans. To communicate: sign-up and password codes, service notices. We do not sell your data and do not show third-party ads.
Who sees your profile
Nobody sees your name, photo or details until a game earns the reveal and you both say yes. Your answers to a question are shown to the other player only after both of you have answered it.
Service providers
We use Supabase (database, login and file storage, hosted in the United States), Resend (sending our emails), RevenueCat with Apple and Google (purchases), and Zoho (our support mailbox). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. Delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing support@playmatchusa.com; data is removed within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as purchase records) and reports kept for safety.
Your choices
You can edit your profile and photos, change who you want to meet and your match range, block or report anyone, and delete your account. You may request a copy of your data by email.
Children
Playmatch is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; accounts found to belong to minors are deleted.
Changes
We will post updates here with a new version and date.
